We track the price. We tell you if it's really on sale. Treats, wet food, litter and a harness that still fits after summer: pet restocks are easy to put off until the bag is empty. Good Cart Co is real-time Amazon price monitoring; picks ranked by review count on Amazon. We rechecked five dog and cat best sellers this afternoon so you know which prices are steady, which sit below list, and which one to wait on.
Honest headline: none of these are flash sales today. Each price below was read on Oct 16, 2026 at 1:50 PM ET from Keepa's public price graph (the fallback we use when Amazon blocks a direct check). List prices and review counts are what Amazon showed on our Oct 11 check. Prices move. Confirm on Amazon before you buy.
1. Milk-Bone Flavor Snacks Mini's Dog Treats (36 oz): 21% below list
4.8★ from 50,004 reviews. Verdict: Good restock price, not a flash sale. About 21% below Amazon list ($11.48 vs $14.59). Price checked Oct 16, 1:50 PM ET (Keepa public graph fallback); list price and reviews from Oct 11 (Amazon live via Good Cart).
The 31-day graph sits flat at $11.48, with two brief dips of roughly a dime. So the list-price gap is real, but it's the everyday price, not a countdown deal. It's a fine time to restock the treat jar, with no need to rush.
2. Voyager Step-in Air Dog Vest Harness: 20% below list
4.5★ from 70,077 reviews. Verdict: Fair buy if your dog needs one now. About 20% below Amazon list ($11.99 vs $14.99). Price checked Oct 16, 1:50 PM ET (Keepa public graph fallback); list price and reviews from Oct 11 (Good Cart catalog, Amazon Best Sellers).
The graph we read is for the Moss Green, Medium listing. It held near $12 for a month and dipped to about $11.10 for a few days around Oct 7. Today's price is a little above that dip, not at it. Sizes and colors can price differently, so measure your dog's chest first and check the size you need.
3. Purina Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Wet Cat Food (24-pack): 10% below list
4.7★ from 55,572 reviews. Verdict: Fine to restock, no rush. About 10% below Amazon list ($22.86 vs $25.49). Price checked Oct 16, 1:50 PM ET (Keepa public graph fallback); list price and reviews from Oct 11 (Amazon live via Good Cart).
This one hasn't moved: $22.86 every day of the 31-day graph. A 10% gap to list is modest, and since the price is flat, waiting probably won't get you a better one. Buy when the pantry shelf is low.
4. Temptations Classic Crunchy and Soft Cat Treats (30 oz): steady price
4.8★ from 73,603 reviews. Verdict: Steady price, so buy when you run low. $14.94 with no Amazon list-price discount on record (—). Price checked Oct 16, 1:50 PM ET (Keepa public graph fallback); reviews from Oct 11 (Amazon live via Good Cart).
The graph shows $14.97 for most of the month and $14.94 since about Oct 13. That's a three-cent change, not a deal. We include it because it ranked #10 on Amazon's Pet Supplies best-seller list on our Oct 11 check and the price is predictable.
5. Dr. Elsey's Ultra Unscented Clumping Cat Litter (40 lb): Wait
4.4★ from 70,269 reviews. Verdict: Wait if you can. $22.99 today with no list-price discount on record (—). Price checked Oct 16, 1:50 PM ET (Keepa public graph fallback); reviews from Oct 11 (Amazon live via Good Cart).
This is the honest call-out. On the 31-day graph, this bag sat around $21 from about Sep 24 to Oct 7, then went back up to $22.99. If you have a week of litter left, watch for it to drop back. If the box is empty tonight, $22.99 is the regular price, not a markup.
How we decide
A percent-off badge is a clue, not a verdict. We check where today's price sits on a real price history, not just against a strikethrough list price, then rank picks by review volume and star rating so you're not restocking a weak substitute. Full method: How we pick.
One clear next step
Dog household: start with the Milk-Bone Mini's (about 21% below list) and size-check the Voyager harness (about 20% below list). Cat household: Fancy Feast and Temptations are at steady prices, so buy them when you need them, and hold off on the Dr. Elsey's litter if you can wait for it to dip again. All five are on the Good Cart pet supplies page, and more live prices are at goodcartco.com.
